Rancid Cat Riders

Well, it had to take a 40th Birthday, but we finally got over to South Wales. Courtesy of my goodly wife, Myself, Iain, Chris and Shaun got a weekend in a house over there with a guide to take us out over the course of the weekend. Kim Jones (and his partner) from Mountain Bike Tours did us proud. Huuuge cooked breakfasts waiting for us in the morning, packed lunch whilst we are out (mmmm ham cheese and mustard rolls) - but we never found out what was in Kim's..!! Then an awesome Chilli was ready and waiting for us on Saturday night with bread, bread and more bread!!! 

All the while, he was guiding us around the Brecons, Afan forest and others. Although we only did just over 40 miles in 3 days, as we hit Cwmcarn on the way over to his house, we did over 5,000ft of climbing. So that is a LOT of coming down! 

So now we are looking to head back over to Afan to do the Skyline trail, and Kim has agreed to ride with us, if he can get the time off!!!
