Hi there, and welcome to the site.

This was set up as there was a small crowd of people that I knew who went out Mountain Biking into the trails around Guildford and the North Downs. We have recently moved our base of operations to the Reading area, although we still get over to the Peaslake/Leith Hill area on a fairly regular basis.

So why Rancid Cat? Well, we were sitting watching TV, eating our dinner (Ok, it was a dark, miserable night in winter) and the cat plonked is backside down in the middle of the room and started licking it (his backside, not the room!) - hence Rancid Cat.... So we figured, what a cool name and decided to set up this site for me to bring all the info about what I do and where I go.

So enjoy, as this site is going to change quite a lot over the coming months. The content will change, there will be additional newsflashes, a Gallery of my rides/bikes/funny stuff, a Calendar of what I am doing and when.

I have included some links to information around t'internet which I have found useful, shops, magazine sites, etc so browse away, and if there are any that you think might be useful, then drop me a mail and I will add them in...I would ask you to sign my guestbook - but since there are some really sad, lonely people who insist on trying to ruin everything, I have had to take down the guestbook option, as I couldn't be bothered to delete all the spam posts that were being put up!! Sorry people... As always, the minority wrecking it for the majority!
